Since Saturday, I’ve been struggling to get Facebook’s Trust & Safety (T&S) team to get a number of scam accounts shut down for a friend. She’s older, not quite so tech-savvy, and rarely uses Facebook anymore. I suspect that she was targeted by scammers largely because she’s older, somewhat well-known (she runs a charity in the UK, and is well-connected in the entertainment industry), and has a substantial friend network. Those factors make her an attractive target for attackers.
