1. I'm guessing that this is not marketed to dudes, who, as you say, can just go get it checked out. Rather it is probably marketed to the ladies who want to know if they are about to permit a diseased wanger into their bodies.

2. IF there are signs of diseased wanger visible enough to be sussed out by an AI program, couldn't you just, y'know, teach people to recognize the symptoms?

3. I'm not visualizing how the whole "Hang on a minute, while I take a picture of your wanger and wait for some website to tell me it is not diseased. We'll just sit here and drink tea for a minute, then we can get back to it." while they are barely seventeen and barely dressed

I think I meant to reply to this and got overwhelmed, but yes, they are definitely targeting the ladies/romantic partners and not the dudes themselves.

That said, my husband shrugged and Said that any dude who wanted to get laid probably wouldn't care if his hookup buddy wanted to take a picture of his dick, because sex. IDK. Still seems weird to me.

The app did not accept my pictures of a plastic dinosaur tail or a sculpture of a corndog, but it *did* run the disturbing German wurst pic and the disturbing Beyond Meat sausage I found and told me they were a "hold." Does it count as "accuracy"? I mean, I can't be sure the German sausage *didn't* have an STI, and it is indeed (in the cringe "how do you do, fellow kids?" lingo of the app) "sus."

Never can trust that shifty German meat.

I actually cannot believe that this app exists…and is available in the EU! This is peek AI hype!

It's available anywhere -- there's not even an app as such -- it's this web-based thing... which means zero controls/filters.

Hello! I found your work through Ella Dawson shouting out your writing about Calmara. I'm currently working on an article for PopSugar about Calmara, and I'm wondered if you'd be up for answering some questions about their TOS and (potential lack of) data privacy for me to be included in my piece?

Hey Quinn -- happy to chat on this, as there are some very interesting developments that would be worth sharing (including a rather appalling response by the CEO). Happy to discuss on whatever channel works for you. DM me on here, or [email protected]
